Online check-in registration service agreement
1.For passengers holding Air China e-tickets. Air China now offers?online check-in service for flights departing from some domestic and foreign airports. However, Air China retains the right to suspend?online check-in the event of flight delays or other instances in which customers are not best served by automated check-in service.
2.Infants, children, physically-challenged people, pregnant women, passengers who are ill and other passengers that need special services, please see our staff at any Air China service counter.If you have purchased a concessional fare for disabled service personnel/police officers, you will not be able to check in online. Please allow enough time to complete check-in at the airport on the date of departure. You will need to present a valid identification document and your disabled service personnel/police officer certificate (booking details must match the details in these documents). If the details do not match, we reserve the right to refuse boarding.
3.The passenger who take the domestic fight of carrier by Air China, Every passenger in First Class and Business Class is allowed to have two pieces of carry-on baggage. The maximum weight of each piece is 8KG. Every passenger in economy class is allowed to have one piece of carry-on baggage with the maximum weight of 5KG; The passenger who take the international fight of carrier by Air China, Every passenger in First Class and Business Class is allowed to have two pieces of carry-on baggage. The maximum weight of each piece is 5KG. Every passenger in economy class is allowed to have one piece of carry-on baggage with the maximum weight of 5KG. Each piece of carry-on baggage is not allowed to exceed 55CM*40CM*20CM and can be placed under the seat in front of you or in the closed overhead baggage compartment. Online check-in service does not include procedures for checking baggage. Passengers who want to check baggage must go to the specified counter at the airport at least 120 minutes before flight departure.
4.For your safety and the safety of other passengers during the flight, please place prohibited carry-on items in checked luggage. These items include knives, tools and alcoholic beverages, which are limited to no more than two bottles per person, weighing no more than 1KG. Items that are not allowed in either carry-on or checked baggage include: firearms, ammunition, controlled knives, inflammable materials, explosives, toxic, corrosive, radioactive and other hazardous materials; lithium batteries, other items that endanger flight safety or are prohibited by law, regulations and government orders; fresh, perishable items; items that are not suitable for shipment due to their packaging, shape, weight, volume or nature. Other items that are not allowed in checked baggage include: cash, securities, jewelry, precious metals and related products, antiques and valuable paintings, personal electronic products and samples and other valuable, fragile or easily damaged items, important documents and materials, travel documents, prescription drugs to be taken regularly and other items of value .
5.Electronic devices that are installed with lithium batteries (more than 100 watt-hours and less than 160 watt-hours) are allowed in checked and carry-on baggage. Spare lithium batteries (more than 100 watt-hours and less than 160 watt-hours) are not allowed in checked baggage but passengers are allowed to pack at most two spare lithium batteries in their carry-on baggage. These spare batteries should be isolated from each other and their terminals must be insulated to prevent short-circuiting.
6.Passengers must comply with the rules set by governmental authorities regarding the valid documents required for civil flights and ensure that their documents are legally-recognised and remain valid. The passenger shall be responsible for the consequences if the name on ticket and document do not match, or if the document has expired. Please check that the document types and validity period comply with the requirements for all segments of your journey, including transit countries/regions and your final destination.
7.Changes in your flight may occur between the time you check-in online and your departure time. Always check the flight status monitors after you arrive at the airport to confirm your flight departure time and your boarding gate. You can also visit our website www.airchina.com. Click on the "inbound and outbound information" column and check for the latest information updates on your flight.
8.If the aircraft servicing your flight is changed, we will reassign passengers' seats accordingly. We apologize for possible inconsistencies with your original seating request.
9.If you want to cancel your trip after you have completed the online check-in procedures, you may cancel your seat online or dial the Air China Sales Service Hotline 95583 and choose website service to cancel your seat at least three hours before your flight departure time. If your seat is not canceled, you will assume responsibility for delaying the flight.
10.To eliminate the potential safety hazards and safeguard the personal security and the safety of the property of all passengers/cargo consignees, Air China and all the other member carriers of Air China System forbid the transport of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mobile phones on flights, in accordance with the recent safety warning contained in the “Notice on the Ban on Transport of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Mobile Phones by Air” released by Civil Aviation Administration of China. Effective immediately.Passengers are now banned from including Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mobile phones in their hand baggage and checked-in baggage. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mobile phones will not be accepted for transport as cargo as well.
11.To guarantee flight safety and the needs of special passengers, Air China's online check-in is not applicable to seats at emergency exits and safety passages, and passengers will not be able to use self-service channels to select seats in these areas. When load factor reaches 90% or more, there may be cases where passengers enter the cabin seat map and find that there are no available seats. In such cases, please go to the airport counter for check-in.
