Notice on the Transfer of Air China International and Regional Outbound Flights to Terminal 2 of Beijing Capital International Airport
Dear passengers,
From September 30, 2021, Air China-operated international and regional outbound flights from Beijing Capital International Airport will be transferred to Terminal 2 (Beijing T2). In order to ensure smooth travel, we have compiled some important information for your reference.
I. Flight Schedule

Please note that when operating on the Beijing-Shenzhen-Johannesburg route, flight CA867 will depart from Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport (Beijing T3).

l Opening hours: From 4 hours before first flight departure of the day to 30 minutes after last flight departure of the day (subject to adjustment according to flight schedule)
III. Procedures for Connecting to Air China International/Regional Outbound Flights at Beijing Capital International Airport T2

Situation I: If you, at the departure airport, have received the boarding pass for the connecting flight and your baggage has been checked all the way through to your final destination
1.Proceed to the Domestic Arrivals Hall on the first floor
2.Go to the second floor to complete customs declaration procedures (if required)
3.Pass through the International Check-in Hall and go through the exit customs check, border control, and body and carry-on baggage security check before making your way to the boarding gate to await your flight
Situation II: If you, at the departure airport, have not received the boarding pass for your connecting flight and your baggage has only been checked through to Beijing
1.Proceed to the baggage claim hall of Domestic Arrivals on the first floor to collect your baggage (if any)
2. Go to the second floor to complete customs declaration procedures (if required)
3. Proceed through the International Check-in Hall for transit check-in and baggage check-in (excess baggage is transferred from the international excess baggage check-in counter), exit customs check, border control, and body and carry-on baggage security check before making your way to the boarding gate to await your flight |

(Due to the impact of COVID-19, the following procedure does not currently apply to international flights and flights from Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan, China arriving at Beijing Capital International Airport T3.)
Situation I: If you, at the departure airport, have received the boarding pass for the connecting flight and your baggage has been checked all the way through to your final destination
1. Go outside Gate 5 on the First floor and take the shuttle bus to T2
2. Go to the second floor to complete customs declaration procedures (if required)
3. Pass through the International Check-in Hall and go through the exit customs check, border control, and body and carry-on baggage security check before making your way to the boarding gate to await your flight
Situation II: If you, at the departure airport, have not received the boarding pass for your connecting flight and your baggage has only been checked through to Beijing
1. Proceed to the baggage claim hall of Domestic Arrivals on the Second floor to collect your baggage (if any)
2. Go outside Gate 5 on the first floor and take the shuttle bus to T2
3. Go to the second floor to complete customs declaration procedures (if required)
4. Proceed through the International Check-in Hall for transit check-in and baggage check-in (excess baggage is transferred from the international excess baggage check-in counter), exit customs check, border control, and body and carry-on baggage security check before making your way to the boarding gate to await your flight |

l Closing time of Air China international check-in counters at Beijing Capital International Airport T2: 60 minutes before the flight's scheduled/estimated time of departure
l Closing time of Air China boarding gate at Beijing Capital International Airport T2: 15 minutes before the flight's scheduled/estimated time of departure

V. Zone A of the VIP Check-in Area and Zone B of the Beijing-Shanghai Express Flight Check-in Area at Beijing Capital International Airport T3 are Temporarily Closed
Both Zone A of the International VIP Check-in Area and Zone B of the Shanghai-Hangzhou Express Flight Check-in Area at Beijing Capital International Airport T3 will be closed from September 30. The check-in location for Air China Platinum Card members will be relocated to F27–F28. The check-in location for First Class/Business/Air China Gold Card/Star Alliance Gold Card/Air China Silver Card passengers on the Shanghai-Hangzhou route will be relocated to F21–F26. The check-in location for other passengers on the Shanghai-Hangzhou route will be J15.
