Notice on Air China Operating Further Additional Inbound and Outbound Domestic Flights from Terminal 2 of Beijing Capital International Airport

Dear passengers,

        From March 27, 2022, Air China will once again increase the number of domestic flights operating from Terminal 2 (PEK T2) of Beijing Capital International Airport.In order to ensure you a smooth travel, we have compiled some important information for your reference.

I. Flight schedule

III. The Transfer procedure at Terminal 2(PEK T2)

Situation I: You have received the boarding pass for the connecting flight at the departure airport and your baggage has been checked all the way through to your final destination

1. When the itinerary is a domestic-domestic flight: If you are inbound from a nearby terminal, then get the special seal for transit at the D-to-D counter on the third floor and proceed to the boarding gate for the connecting flight on the second floor. If you are inbound from a remote terminal, go to the second floor and proceed to the boarding gate through the T2 security checks.

2. When the itinerary is a domestic-international flight: Go to the second floor and proceed to the boarding gate after going through the T2 joint inspection unit.

Situation II: You have not received the boarding pass for your connecting flight at the departure airport and your baggage has only been checked through to Beijing

1. Collect checked baggage (if any).

2. Go to the second floor (departures) and check in for the connecting flight.

3. Proceed to the boarding gate after going through the security check/joint inspection unit.

Situation 3: You have completed the entire baggage check-in procedure at the departure airport, but have not received the boarding pass for your connecting flight

1. When the itinerary is a domestic-domestic flight: If you are inbound from a nearby terminal, get the boarding pass for your connecting flight and present your baggage claim tag at the D-to-D counter on the third floor, then proceed to the boarding gate for your connecting flight on the second floor. If you are inbound from a remote terminal, go to the second floor to get the boarding pass for your connecting flight and present your baggage claim tag, then proceed to the boarding gate through the T2 security checks.

2. When the itinerary is a domestic-international flight: Go to the second floor, get the boarding pass for your connecting flight and present your baggage claim tag, then proceed to the boarding gate after going through the joint inspection unit.

Situation I: You have received the boarding pass for the connecting flight at the departure airport and your baggage has been checked all the way through to your final destination

1. Go to Gate 7 on the first floor (arrivals) and take the shuttle bus to T3.

2. Go to the fourth floor of T3 (departures) and proceed to the boarding gate after going through the T3 security check/joint inspection unit.

Situation II: You have not received the boarding pass for your connecting flight at the departure airport and your baggage has only been checked through to Beijing

1. Collect checked baggage (if any).

2. Go to Gate 7 on the first floor (arrivals) and take the shuttle bus to T3.

3. Check in for the connecting flight on the fourth floor of T3 (departures).

4. Proceed to the boarding gate after going through the T3 security check/joint inspection unit.

Situation 3: You have completed the entire baggage check-in procedure at the departure airport, but have not received the boarding pass for your connecting flight

1. Go to Gate 7 on the first floor (arrivals) and take the shuttle bus to T3.

2. Go to the fourth floor of T3 (departures), get the boarding pass for your connecting flight and present your baggage claim tag.

3. Proceed to the boarding gate after going through the T3 security check/joint inspection unit.

(Due to the impact of COVID-19, the following procedure does not currently apply to international flights and flights between Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan, China arriving at Beijing Capital International Airport T3.)

Situation I: You have received the boarding pass for the connecting flight at the departure airport and your baggage has been checked all the way through to your final destination

1. Go to Gate 5 on the first floor (arrivals) and take the shuttle bus to T2.

2. Go to the second floor of T2 (departures) and proceed to the boarding gate after going through the T2 security check/joint inspection unit.

Situation II: You have not received the boarding pass for your connecting flight at the departure airport and your baggage has only been checked through to Beijing

1. Collect checked baggage (if any).

2. Go to Gate 5 on the first floor (arrivals) and take the shuttle bus to T2.

3. Check in for connecting flight on the second floor of T2 (departures).

4. Proceed to the boarding gate after going through the T2 security check/joint inspections unit.

Situation 3: You have completed the entire baggage check-in procedure at the departure airport, but have not received the boarding pass for your connecting flight

1. Go to Gate 5 on the first floor (arrivals) and take the shuttle bus to T2.

2. Proceed to the second floor of T2 (departures), get the boarding pass for your connecting flight and present your baggage claim tag.

3. Proceed to the boarding gate after going through the T2 security check/joint inspection unit.

 

IV. Other Information

· Closing time of Air China international check-in counters at Beijing Capital International Airport T2: 45 minutes before the flight's scheduled/estimated time of departure

· Closing time of Air China boarding gate at Beijing Capital International Airport T2: 15 minutes before the flight's scheduled/estimated time of departure
