Notice on the Issues Regarding the Strengthened Real Name Management for Expats Flying on Domestic Flights
Dear passengers:
According to the “Notice on Further Implementing the Management of Real Name Management for Expats Traveling on Domestic Flights (State Immigration Issue, [2022] No. 4), the relevant issues regarding real name management for expats traveling on Air China-operated flights within the People's Republic of China are hereby specified as follows:
1. The regulations on the real name management apply to all passenger flights within the territory of the People's Republic of China.
2. Expats traveling on passenger flights within the territory of the People's Republic of China should use their valid identity documents (proof) to book tickets under their real name and adopt a cooperative attitude in information collection and registration, subject to real name verification.
3. Expats traveling on passenger flights within China shall use their legal and valid passports, seafarer's certificates, and foreign permanent residence identity card. Expats without the aforementioned relevant documents may use their foreign entry and exit permits. Expats who are applying for a replacement of their documents due to expiration, loss, damage, or other reasons shall present a receipt of acceptance of the expats’ visas issued by the entry and exit administration department of the public security authorities, a passport loss report, or a temporary international travel certificate issued by embassies and consulates of the countries in China (which should be accompanied by a valid visa or document of stay issued by the entry and exit management department of the public security authorities). The types of documents used by the personnel of diplomatic missions and consulates in China on passenger flights shall conform to the relevant regulations.
4. We will not, in accordance with the regulations, provide air transportation services for those who do not hold documents, refuse to provide their original valid identity documents (proof), or provide tickets that are not consistent with the person or documents.
5. For those who falsely use someone else's documents or hold forged, altered, or expired documents (including those that exceed the validity period of their visa and residence permit), we will not, according to the regulations, provide air transportation services and we will notify the public security authorities or immigration management authorities as required.
6. We will strictly implement the requirements for real name ticket sales and real name verification in the process of ticketing and check-in from now on.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
